FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. Coming along to your first class can be a little nerving, but don’t be concerned. Our studio is filled with friendly clients and welcoming instructors. You’ll find quickly that it’s a place to enjoy coming along to, having a laugh and working on you.  Here’s a few tips to get you through it:

    1. Arrive 5 mins before class

    2. Grab a reformer – first in first serve

    3. Bring a water bottle and a small towel for your workout

    4. Socks! Sticky socks are compulsory in the studio for hygiene purposes. We have these for sale or alternatively you can bring your own.

    • 5. Time to concentrate on yourself & enjoy.

  • You may be automatically added to a class up to 2 hours before it starts. If you can no longer attend, please remove yourself from the waitlist.
    Once you’re added to a class, the spot is yours, so we recommend treating the waitlist as if you’re already booked in. A penalty will apply if you cancel within 12 hours.

    If you secure a spot, you’ll be notified via email.

  • NO you won’t be! You are right though, our studios are predominately females taking classes but we have a wonderful group of men – of all ages, attending classes.  Here is a great blog of why men should do Pilates:

  • There is a long list of reasons as to why a woman should practice Pilates during pregnancy but here are what we believe to be the most important ones:
    1. A stronger Transversus Abdominis and Gluteals.
    2. A stronger connection to the pelvic floor muscles
    3. Better breath control
    4. Maintain healthy weight
    5. Less discomfort due to muscular skeletal imbalances
    6. A quicker recovery and return to your pre-pregnancy strength

    At Pointe we have mums coming to the studio all the way up until they are able and some go through their due dates and are still attending! Modifications are the key to your success and our Instructors are well versed to look after you.

    And great news, Pointe offer Mums & Bubs classes after bubs arrival, so it’s a seamless transition back into Pilates when the time is right.

  • CANCELLATION WINDOW: 12 HOURS

    UNLIMITED MEMBERS: If you late cancel or no-show, you will automatically be charged the penalty fee.
    Late cancel: $10 No show: $15

    CLASS PACK HOLDERS: If you late cancel or no-show, you will lose a pass

    1, 2, 3, or 4 MEMBERSHIPS: If you late cancel or no-show within the 12-hour window, you will lose a pass. However, you now have the ability to purchase additional classes at the same per-class rate you already pay. These will automatically appear as a TOP UP when you book any extra sessions for the week.
